Gluten free bread

Ingredients:

  • 250g gluten free self raising flour 
  • 1 tsp bread soda 
  • ½ tsp gluten free baking powder 
  • Pinch of salt 
  • 50g milled linseed 
  • 230mls buttermilk 
  • 1 tsp honey 
  • 1 egg 

Method: 

  • STEP 1

Preheat the oven to 180 ◦  C.  Cover your baking tray with some baking parchment. 

  • STEP 2

Sift the flour, bread soda and baking powder into a bowl. Add in the salt and milled linseed. Mix together. 

  • STEP 3

In a jug whisk the buttermilk, honey and egg. 

  • STEP 4

Make a well in the centre of the dry ingredients and pour in the wet mix from the jug. Mix with your hands. 

  • STEP 5

Shape the mixture with your hands roughly into a ball and cut an X across the top. Place on the baking tray and bake in the oven for 30 minutes.
