Aoife Mangan completed her student placement in 2025 as part of her Level 5 Work Experience requirement for QQI certification in Sport, Exercise and Fitness at Galway Community College, Moinin na gCiseach, Galway City.

During her placement at GNTC, Aoife developed an evidence-based, science-backed resource to educate the public and school students on how to read food labels. Her project promotes nutritional awareness and empowers individuals to make informed food choices. Aoife was supported in the development of this resource by Kaja Derejerano, a third-year placement student. Their collaborative work is a valuable contribution to health education.
